Hey,

Just in case you are wondering what it was really like on the Mountain  today;  Pea soup would sum in up.   About 11:30 the clouds came down and socked us in.   The good news is that it’s been snowing like stink for about 4 hours now.  The snow is great, cross your fingers that the clouds either go up or down so we can see our feet tomorrow;]

Cheers, Sandra

Get a jump on the selling time of the year

Filed under: Valley Real Estate — Sandra @ 2:19 pm

If you are waiting for spring to sell your home don’t wait too long.  Being the first out of the gate when there is very little competition can really work in your favour.  Right now our inventory is low with  17 homes listed for sale in Smithers and only 10 in Telkwa.  And don’t forget that  those listing cover a huge price range, the lowest asking price right now is $129,000, for a  rancher in Telkwa,  and it goes right up from there to  $439,000 for a large and beautiful home in Smithers’ Willowvale neighbourhood.

I reccommend  my free, ” Is your home Fit to Sell”,   video.   It’s  packed with tips on how to prepare your home for sale and maximize yoru selling price.     Just contact me and I would be happy to drop it off at your house or mail it to you.

Thanks,

Sandra

Snow measurement update

Filed under: Ski Hill Weather — Sandra @ 3:27 pm

Our snow measurement devise melts the snow and calculates the snowfall based on volume of water. We have been fiddling with the correct moisture content conversion calcualiton but the moisture content varies.  Our physical observation of the  month of January indicates that the snow moisture content averaged 15.75:1.  We have adjusted the site to  a 15:1 coversion, ie 15 cm of snow is equal to 1 cm of melted water.  We will see how this fits through the month of February.
