Hankin-Evelyn Back Country Trail
It’s great to have some new trails, see link to Interior News Article, Jan 20, 2010. I’m trying to find a map or directions…… Maybe someone will read this and miraculously send me some info, so I can post it on my website??
Windy Today on the Mountain
The winds were high today with lots of blowing snow on top. Please remember that my weather station is in a relatively sheltered spot. Depending on wind direction, high winds at the top of the lifts may not register. My weather station and webcam are half way down Cinderela on the right.
It was a good day to stay in the trees, I toured up last Chance Trail and it was great. Last Chance Trail is the pick up trail at the bottom of the Prairie T ski runs, and everyone that skis in that area should be aware that it’s Last Chance trail for a reason, beyond it you will find yourself in a box canyon, it’s almost the only place on the Mountain that you can’t ski out of, and its where most lost skiiers are found.

Snow
Thank goodness is snowed on the Mountain, lots too!! This warm weather in town makes me want to live up there.
